Obituary

On October 18, 2016 we lost our loving mother, Lucille (Tootsie) May Navarro (ne, Butera), beloved wife of the late Alexander, loving mother to Alan, dearest mother-in-law to Pamela, wonderful grandmother to Alana, Alex & Amanda & special GiGi to Nicky boy. Lucille was born in the Bronx and grew up in Bloomfield before getting married in 1950 to her dear Alex and moving to Orange. She has been with her children in Bloomfield for the past 19 years where she enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow into young adults. She passed comfortably at home with her loving family all around her. She leaves behind many beautiful nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 10:00am, on Friday October 21st, at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church, 120 Prospect St in Nutley. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, 1500 Stuyvesant Ave, in Union. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105, or to a charity of your choice. So very sorry to hear of Tootsie's passing. Her smile &amp; sense of humor were always a bright light to everyone who knew her.
