Ruth E Henderson

d. March 12, 2021

On Friday, March 12, 2021, Dr. Ruth Henderson, a loving mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 90. Ruth was an independent woman who made a career of teaching out of her love and passion to learn. Even after retiring, her quest for knowledge continued with taking online courses at the Montclair Library. She was interested in the solar system, technology, and the stock market. She evolved with the times. What Ruth held most precious was her children and Grandchildren. She was a member of the Glen Ridge Women’s Club. Ruth was predeceased by her loving husband of 48 years, Joseph Henderson, and her son John R. Henderson. She is survived by her daughters; Linda Luongo and husband Anthony, Joyce Henderson-Malloy, and her husband Kenneth, Nancy Henderson-Piegro, and her husband Nicholas; grandchildren, Nicholas, Christopher, Jessica, Kenneth, and Joseph. A memorial service will be held in the future, at Watchung Presbyterian Church, in Bloomfield. Please check back for details.
