Ruth G. Saunders Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Ruth Grace Saunders, (nee) Alessi passed peacefully on September 25, 2020. Born and raised in Elizabeth, Ruth spent most of her life in Bloomfield, after moving there with her late husband Jimmy. Ruth took joy in raising her sons Ricky and David, and her grandsons, Alexander (Kristy) and Michael (Amanda) before re-entering the workforce as a teacher’s aide. Ruth continued to work tirelessly to assist in the education of children, while enjoying spending time with and inspiring her great-grandchildren, Matthew, Cole, and Dylan. She will be missed by everyone who is now better for having known her. Friends and family may visit on Tuesday September 29th, from 4-8 pm, at Halpin-Bitecola Brookdale Funeral Home. Entombment will be held at Glendale Cemetery September 30th at 11 am.
