William J. Reilly Jr. of West Caldwell died on November 3, 2014 at Hackensack UMC Mountainside. He was 90 years young.
Born in Jersey City, Mr. Reilly lived in Bloomfield for 75 years before moving to West Caldwell in 2013.
He was a graduate of Seton Hall University and worked as a commercial credit analyst for Dun and Bradstreet for 35 years.
Bill was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II in Italy with the 32nd Field Hospital.
He was a multitalented gentleman whose passions included photography, framing, painting, antique cars and the Ballet.
He treasured times with his family, friends and neighbors.
Bill was the son of the late William J. and Estelle Reilly and the brother of the late Veronica Cardone.
He was the beloved uncle of Richard Cardone and his wife, Jacqueline, Donald Cardone, Barbara Cauterucci and her husband, Frank, and Patricia Fine and her husband, Jeffrey and a devoted great uncle to seventeen and great-great uncle to seven.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Halpin – Bitecola Brookdale Funeral and Cremation Service, 1284 Broad St., Bloomfield on Friday, November 7, from 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 60 Byrd Ave., Bloomfield on Sat. Nov. 8; at 10 a.m., and Interment will take place at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 712 Grove Street, Montclair immediately following the Mass.
