Obituary

Shirley Armando, formerly of Bloomfield, NJ, left us peacefully on July 21, 2025. Renowned for her selfless, independent, hardworking and caring nature, Shirley was a beacon of strength and wisdom in the lives of her loved ones.

Shirley was predeceased by her devoted parents, Frank Wallace and Amy Headley, as well as her loving husband of 48 years, Frank Armando. The void left by their absence was filled by the love and enthusiasm Shirley had for her two sons Gary Armando and Frank Armando; her daughters-in-laws, Diana Armando and Arlene Armando, and her sister, June Sudol. The love she poured into their lives was equaled by her affections towards her beloved grandchildren – Krystle, Kayla, Karina, Gavin, Ava, Dean, as well as her great-grandchildren; Santino, Athena, Anakin, Avelyn, and Amelia; nieces, June Fink and Melanie Meritt. Their times together went beyond mere familial bonds, turning into irreplaceable memories.

Family was held above all else in Shirley's heart. Her favorite spots were those where she could enjoy the company of loved ones, such as the Jersey Shore and local pool clubs. The lessons she shared, primarily centered around caring for others and cherishing the values that her family will continue to uphold.

Shirley's legacy of love, hard work and dedication will continue to live on through her family. Her spirit, her lessons, and her love will forever be a part of the lives she has touched.
