Obituary

Mildred Bucco, 90, of Bloomfield, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. Mildred was very kind and caring. She enjoyed life and showed her love to her family by cooking for them. She cherished the time she spent with her sisters. Mildred was proud of working for Clara Maass for 30 years and loved all the friends she made there. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years Richard “Homer” Bucco; Brothers Michael and Charles Averna. Mildred leaves her daughters Brenda Loucka and her husband John, Katherine Tomasso, and her husband Dan; Sisters Florence Mariani, her husband Joe, Rosalie Louziero, her husband Gus, and Sandra Averna. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Friends and family may visit on Friday December 9, 2022, from 3-8 pm at Halpin-Bitecola Brookdale Funeral Home, 1284 Broad St in Bloomfield. A funeral mass will be held at Saint Thomas the Apostle, 60 Byrd Ave, Bloomfield on December 10, 2022 at 9:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mildreds memory may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital. Dear Brenda, Kathy and family,<br>Joe and I were so, so saddened to hear of Aunt Mil’s passing! We will always remember her loving and caring ways that were ever present when in her company.
