Dorothy Blunt

On Wednesday August 10, 2022, Dorothy Blunt, passed away peacefully at the age of 94. She was a longtime resident of Bloomfield, NJ. She was a very caring woman who cherished her family, especially her grandchildren. She was known for keeping a spotless home and always had something special for her children and grandchildren. Dorothy was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years Edward, and her parents, Jacob and Florence Hingel. She is also predeceased by her brother Jacob and sisters Florence and Helen. She is survived by her son, Edward Blunt; daughters, Patricia Longo (Stephen) Karen Blunt Garner; grandchildren Jenna, (K.C.) and a great-granddaughter on her way, Stephen, Jonathan, Justin, and Julianne; and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family may visit from 4-7 pm, Monday August 15th at Halpin-Bitecola Funeral home, located at 1284 Broad Street, Bloomfield NJ 07003. A funeral mass will be held at 9:30 am on Tuesday August 16th, at St Thomas the Apostle Church in Bloomfield. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair.
