Rose Garten

Mary Rose Garten (Rose), of Newton, NJ passed away on Saturday July 16, 2022, after complications from liver disease. Rose was born on February 2, 1945, in Beckley, WV, and attended Woodrow Wilson high school. She loved spending time with her beloved grandchildren and family. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Emma, and Alfred Feijo; brothers James (Butch) Spence, Alfred Feijo Jr., and Raymond Feijo. Rose is survived by her husband Kenneth L. Garten of Orange, NJ; son Michael D. Garten of Hackettstown, NJ; daughter Kimberly Y Garten (Joe Mondanaro) of Newton, NJ; grandchildren Christopher Lasky (Helen) of California, Ryan Lasky (fianc Monica) of Belleville, NJ, Justin Lasky of Belleville, NJ, Julia McGlinchy of Newton, NJ, Matthew McGlinchy Newton, NJ; brother Timothy Feijo (Donna) of Beckley, WV; sisters Sandy Pittman of Sprague, West Virginia, Cleo Foster (Gary) of Beckley, WV, Jeanette Korzikowski (Wayne) of Toms River, NJ; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends Arrangements were made by Halpin-Bitecola Brookdale Funeral Home and Cremation Service Bloomfield NJ.
