Obituary
On Friday April 8, 2022, Nora Perna passed away peacefully at the age of 96. Nora was an elder at the Watchung Presbyterian Church, where she enjoyed many activities and groups. She was known for baking cookies, candy making, sewing, knitting, and she was an avid Yankees fan. Nora was predeceased by her loving husband of 40 years, Daniel Perna. She is survived by her children, Marie Perna, Daniel Perna, and John Perna; grandson Nicholas Perna; sister Ruth Crabbe, and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family may visit from 4 - 8 pm, Tuesday April 12th at Halpin-Bitecola Funeral home. Funeral services will be held at Watchung Presbyterian Church in Bloomfield on Wednesday April 13th, at 10 am. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Linden, NJ. In lieu of flowers a memorial donation may be made in Noras name to the Watchung Presbyterian Church. Aunt Nora.....I will always remember visiting your house and hanging out with my dear cousins. You made the best maple cream candies and shoo fly pie (which I finally mastered thanks to your inspiration). Hope you are hanging out in heaven with uncle Danny and my folks. Mrs.Perna was a wonderful lady i will always remember her beautiful smile.Nora had 3 great children who took very good care of her.I truly believe that was the secret to her longevity.Rest in peace Mrs. Perna you will be missed.
