Obituary

Linda (nee) Bolcato Scarlatelli, of Bloomfield, entered into eternal rest on October 7, 2021, at the age of 95. In her earlier years, Linda worked for St. Thomas the Apostle School and Rectory in Bloomfield, doing what she loved most, cooking. From there, she went on to prepare meals for the Franciscan Friars in South Orange before retiring. During her final years, she was a treats assistant for her Granddaughter at Trina's Treats in Lyndhurst. Linda enjoyed spending most of her time with her children and grandchildren. She truly was a devoted Mom / Grams. Linda was predeceased by her beloved husband, Roland, the love of her life. She was also predeceased by her parents, Pietro and Lucia Bolcato; her seven siblings, Anthony Bolcato, John Bolcato, Anita Giangerelli, Emma Siciliano, Eleanor Luzzi, Palma Simini, and George Bolcato. She leaves behind her loving Daughters, Lisa Kistner and her husband James, Rhonda Villani and her husband Troy, Grandchildren, James Kistner and his wife Jennifer, Matthew Kistner and his wife Angela, Katrina Villani and her Soon-to-Be husband Joseph Carnevale, Brittany Kistner, Nicollette Villani, Troy Villani, and her Great-Grandchildren, Gemma Kistner and James Kistner. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may visit Halpin-Bitecola Brookdale Funeral Home on Monday, October 11th from 4 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held at St. Marys Roman Catholic Church in Rutherford on Tuesday, October 12th at 10:30 am, with burial to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair. So sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and aunt. I was proud to be her god-daughter. I have so many fond memories of times at your house growing up and her homemade pasta. May she rest in peace with the rest of the family.

Aunt Lin, You were a feisty woman for sure, Which was a good thing. I enjoyed our long talks on the phone. You said to me Marz , when I am laying in the casket look closely at me I will wink at you . Sorry I can’t be there, but I am sure you will show me other signs. Love & miss you .Marlene XO
