Elinor Sharry

Elinor H. Sharry, of Bloomfield, entered eternal life on May 21, 2021 at the age of 92. As a lifelong resident of Bloomfield Elinor was a business secretary in the 1940s and then a legal secretary in the 1980s/1990s. Elinor loved gardening, was an avid reader but most of all loved her family and home. She was blessed by having two loving husbands and raised four children who cherished her dearly. To her family and friends Elinor was strong, resilient, faithful, sweet, compassionate, always generous and lived her life with grace. Elinor leaves behind a son Thomas McLaughlin, and his wife Terri, daughters, Jeanne Polasky and her husband George, and Christine McLaughlin, eight grandchildren, Jess, Josh, Laurie, Tara, Kelley, Stefani, Jared, Julianna, and four great-grandchildren, Will, Maddie, Sydney, and Charley. She was pre-deceased by her daughter Nancy Rasp, first husband, Frank McLaughlin, and second husband Kenneth Sharry. Family and friends may visit Halpin-Bitecola Brookdale Funeral Home on Monday, May 24th, from 4 to 7pm. A funeral mass will be held at 9:30, on Tuesday May 25th, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, with interment to follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
