Bertha Smith

Bertha Smith passed away at 86 on Sunday, October 25, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. Bertha was born April 20, 1934 in Norfolk Virginia to Charles & Rosalie Johnson. Bertha was predeceased by her husband Jesse A. Smith Sr. and her son Jesse A. Smith Jr. She is survived by her daughter Deborah, grandchildren: Darren, Cameron, Larissa, and a host of many who adored her. Bertha enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family, and watching The Andy Griffin show. She was employed for 50 years at Mountainside Hospital as a nurses assistant. She took tremendous pride in the care of her patients and always provided immeasurable love, care, and support to her family. She will be tremendously missed but will be loved and remembered always.
