Obituary

Rose Lupo, of Bloomfield, passed away on September 27, 2019. She was 99. Rose enjoyed cooking and relished her time with her beloved family. Throughout her life, Rose was giving with her time to others. She was a girl scout leader, she volunteered at Mountainside Hospital, and was parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Church for 65 years. Rose was predeceased by her husband Vincent, and her son Vincent Jr. She is survived by her three children, Joseph and his wife Theresa, Marie and her significant other Vincent, Eugene and his wife Susan; daughter-in-law, wife of the late Vincent Jr., Andrea Lupo; grandchildren, Andrea, Kristen, Vincent, Theresa, Alexis, Michelle, Michael, and Emma; as well as her great-grandchildren, Zachary Lindsay, Jessica, Alison, Victoria, and Anna; her loving friends Jimmy, Larry, Pat, and Patty; caring health aid and friend Ionie. Friends and family may visit on Wednesday, September 30, 2019, from 5:30 to 8 pm, at Halpin-Bitecola Brookdale Funeral Home, 1284 Broad St. in Bloomfield. A virtual service will be held at 6:30pm. Funeral services will be held at 9:30am on Thursday, September 31st, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Bloomfield. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Roses memory to the St. Thomas the Apostle Church food bank. Aunt Rose made my roller skating outfit when I was a little girl. You never left her home without arm loads of goodies. She personified grace.

Rose was one of the nicest people you could ever meet, with never a bad word to say.She was simply an inspiring person to be around, always positive, always ready to spendtime and share.
