Obituary

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Lorraine M. Margotta, our devoted mother, grandmother, and friend to all whose lives she touched, on May 10th, 2020. Born December 12th, 1934, to James and Margaret McGuckin, Lorraine and her late brother Patrick, grew up in Bloomfield. Lorraines whole world was her family. Married to the love of her life, the late Anthony Margotta Sr., they raised four beautiful children together. Surviving are her children, son Anthony Margotta Jr., daughter Laura Leonardo and her husband Anthony, beloved grandmother to Michelle and Lainie Mae, and sister-in-law, Katherine Bisaccia. Lorraine is now in heaven with her two late children - daughter Michelle Margotta and son Patrick Margotta. Matriarch to the family, mother to all that knew her. Lorraine was known for her infectious laugh, welcoming home and beautiful soul. She loved dance, horse racing, pottery, talking to her best friend since the 7th grade, Vivian Racioppi, and cooking big Italian meals for the family. She will be so missed but will continue to live on in our hearts forever. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Jude Childrens Hospital in her memory. Other NJ Other NJ

Aunt Lou Lou. She was one of the strongest, funny, caring and loving people ever! I am a very blessed person to have had her in my life. She and my mother met when they were just in 7th grade and were best friends (more like sisters) throughout their entire life.
All the great memories I have of Lorraine will remain with me forever. The roars of laughter and serious talks. She never missed a week of calling me to check on my here in California, after my Mom passed. She said I was like her kid too. :) She was always concerned and interested and gave me some great advice.
I will miss you so much and will carry with me all the memories I Have of you. When I think of you, I will have a smile on my face and some laughter thinking about our times together.
God Bless you. xo Karen

Luara and Anthony,
Cant tell you how sad we are at the passing of your mom. She was such a special person in our lives. As kids growing up, i always knew when either my mom or dad were on the phone with her because they would be laughing uncontrollably. She truly had a special gift to make people laugh.
