His legacy will continue through his family, including his brother Louis Carroll and brother Frank Derbin Jr., his aunts Janet Ragucci Alvarado, Maryann Smith, Malaina Carroll, and Barbara Jean Donahue. and uncles Robert and David Denton. He held a special place in his heart for his goddaughter, Emma, whose life he touched with his kindness and support, Special thanks to Tina Marie Rodriguez and Cousin Anthony Genovesi for your love and support.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 15 years, Chrissy, whose vibrant spirit he cherished deeply. Joseph also mourned the loss of his parents, Frank and Jacqueline Derbin, who instilled in him the values of hard work and dedication that he carried throughout his life, and his uncle Tyrone Carroll.
