It’s difficult letting my Uncle Vito go. But I have such wonderful memories to cherish forever. All I can think about were these memories as I sat there watching him lay in his coffin… I could hear his hearty laugh. He had such an awesome sense of humor. I remember after our father passed, he & Lena would come and take us to the movies every week or so. My brothers & I loved spending time with them. I remember when they took us to see Star Wars back in the 70’s & after the movie was over, Uncle Vito & Aunt Lena asked us if we wanted to stay & watch it again and we said “Absolutely”. Very cool! Lol. I remember those great summer picnics every Sunday. The Italian feasts and fireworks Uncle Vito would take us too… in Berkeley Heights, Bound Brook, Netcong, Bloomfield & Belleville. And of course how can I not mention his beautiful voice. Singing my dad’s songs like Took A Chance, Out In The Country & many others…he had an awesome voice & truly loved music. Anyway…. Uncle Vito…. My Godfather… you will be so very missed. Thank you so much for all you’ve done for me & my brothers. You will always be in my heart ❤️
