Obituary

Stephen T. Brennan Jr, of Nutley, entered eternal life on November 2, 2019. He was 79. Steve served his country honorably as a member of the United States Marine Corps from 1958 - 1961. He was a foreman for the Sheet Metal Workers Local 25 in Carlstadt. Steve co-captained the 1957-1958 Bloomfield Bengals 64-0 State Champs Basketball team. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid fan of the Yankees, Packers, and Fighting Irish. Steve leaves behind his loving wife, Margaret “Peggy” Brennan, two daughters Maureen Brennan and Christine Iannuzzelli, two sons Stephen Brennan and his wife Laura, and Michael Brennan and his wife Lisa. Steve was a loving grandfather to 8 grandchildren, Stephen, Brielle, Sean, Matthew, Stephanie, Nicholas, Ryan, and Andrew. Steve also leaves behind his mother Angela Brennan, his sister Kathleen Browning, a niece Jennifer, great-nieces Carly and Isabella, as well as many friends. He was preceded in death by his father Stephen Brennan and his niece and goddaughter Stephanie. Friends and family may visit Halpin-Bitecola Brookdale Funeral Homeon Thursday, November 7th, 2019 from 4 to 8 pm. A funeral mass will be heldat 10 am, on Friday, November 8th, at St Clare Church, 69 Allwood road in Clifton. A private cremation service will follow.
