Obituary
Carol R. Franz, of Glen Ridge, NJ, entered into eternal life on Saturday, March 2nd, 2019. She was 80 years old. Carol was an active parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Church and was a greeter at Sunday noon mass as well as a teacher of the churchs Pre-Cana classes. She was also a longtime member of the Bloomfield Mandolin Orchestra. Carol leaves behind her loving husband of over 50 years, Jack; five daughters - Catherine Nartker (Michael), Molly Evans (Bill), Beatrix Franz, Monica Franz, and Regina Franz (Adam); as well as a brother - Henry Rodecker. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren - Gabriel, Nathaniel, Angelo, Angeline, Gianna, Elinor, and Marion. Friends and family may visit on Wednesday, March 6th, from 3 - 8 pm, at Halpin-Bitecola Brookdale Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held at 10am on Thursday, March 7th, at St Thomas the Apostle Church in Bloomfield. Entombment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carols memory to the Bloomfield Mandolin Orchestra, 10 Thrumont Rd., West Caldwell, NJ 07006.
