Ruth Hutchison

Ruth E. Hutchison, formally of Bloomfield, entered eternal rest on January 24th, 2018. She was 97. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a registered nurse and retired from Mountainside Hospital. Ruth enjoyed sewing, gardening, and volunteering for hospice. She was a member of the Brookdale Reformed Church. Ruth leaves behind her husband of 71 years, Stewart Hutchison, their three children; Donna Longosz and husband Bob, John Hutchison and wife Susan, James Hutchison and wife Ruby. She leaves behind six grandchildren; Jonathan, Jamie and wife Tami, Jenna and husband Jake, Jonathan and wife Nicole, Nicole and husband Scott, and Ashley. Ruth also leaves behind five great grandchildren; Hannah, Elle, Cole, Chase, and Leon. Family and friendsmay visiton Monday January 29th, from 10:00am to 12:00pm,at Halpin Bitecola Brookdale Funeral Home, 1284 Broad St, in Bloomfield. A funeral service will be held after the visiting hours, at the funeral home, at 12:00pm.Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union.
