Gypsy Silva

I am so saddened to learn of the death of Gypsy da Silva last year. I knew her when she gave her special presence and grace at Transfiguration Church in New York and was friends with the saintly priest, Fr. Larry LeSeure.. In all things she was an "angel unawares". And at this time of anxiety about Iran I remember her stories about family life in Iran. She will always be in my prayers, and I know we are in hers. Royal Rhodes, Kenyon College, OH.

Gypsy was one of a kind. Her intelligence and wry sense of humor is what impressed me most. I was in awe of the work she did with fabulous writers, particularly David McCollugh, who I understand insisted she work on his books. She marched to her own drummer. May she rest in peace.
