Obituary
Eleanor Grace Hill, 84 of Glen Ridge, NJ passed away on March 5 at St. Vincents in Cedar Grove, NJ. Eleanor was born in Bloomfield, NJ to Adelbert and Emma Reid. She was the manager of the hospitality shop at Montclair Community Hospital for 15 years. After 30 years, in 2010, Eleanor retired from Newtone Electronics, Solid State, in Bloomfield, NJ. Eleanor enjoyed summers at Long Beach Island, sewing, knitting, crocheting, embroidering, computer games. She was a 5 gallon blood donor with the Red Cross. She was also choir mother at Christ Church in Glen Ridge. Eleanor is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Elmer; daughter, Nancy Hill, sons, William and John Hill, and her sister Emma Marion Smart. Visitation will be held on March 7 from 4-7 pm, at Halpin-Bitecola Brookdale Funeral Home, 1284 Broad St. Bloomfield. A Funeral service will be held on March 8 from 9-10 am at Halpin-Bitecola Brookdale Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Rosedale Cemetery, 408 Orange Road in Montclair.
