Mark Allan Groendyk, 27 World Builder - Engineer 7/17/1989 - 8/6/2016 Mark Allan Groendyk of Bloomfield NJ died in the morning of August 6 in Athens, Texas. Viewing will be: Saturday August 13, 2016 from 2 - 8PM at: Halpin - Bitecola Funeral Home, 1284 Broad St, Bloomfield, NJ 07003. (973) 338-5900 Mark traveled the world teaching conservation and building sustainable structures wherever he went. Mark helped shelter earthquake victims in Nepal; he built a school on Easter Island and a community center in Templehof, Germany among his many projects Mark lived his life to the fullest and was a shining example of how to live, love and be happy. He dedicated his life to helping people and improving sustainability on the planet we live on. He was always putting others first and was loved by everyone he came in contact with. He is survived by his parents Jacqueline & Allan Groendyk, brother Stephen Groendyk, grandfather Harold Groendyk, uncles Drew & Bobby Misuro, aunts Gloria & Laurie Misuro, cousins Christian, Ryan, Shane, Madison, Sarah Misuro, and many other loving family members.
