Doris Ambrunn

Loving Sister and Aunt Doris Mae Ambrunn, a longtime resident of Bloomfield, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2016 at the age of 94. Doris was born in Newark, New Jersey on February 14, 1922 to the late William and Mary (Meiniger) Ambrunn. She was predeceased by her sister Dolores. Doris was an office manager for Brookdale Gardens Apartments in Bloomfield for over 40 years. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church where she was one of the original tenters. Doris loved to bowl, crochet, read, play the piano, do crossword puzzles, visit AC, and take daily walks. She is survived by her sister, Evelyn Gasparini and her husband, Jimmie; her niece, Patricia Gasparini; her nephews, James Gasparini and wife Lillian, and Michael Gasparini and wife Stacey; grand-nephews, James and Joseph Gasparini; grand-niece, Samantha Gasparini. Friends and family may visit Halpin-Bitecola Funeral Home, 1284 Broad St in Bloomfield, on Sunday, June 26th, from 2-5pm. A funeral mass will be held at St Thomas the Apostle Church, 60 Byrd Ave. in Bloomfield, on Monday June 27th, at 10:00 am, with interment to follow at Fairmount Cemetery, in Newark.
