Marilyn Kaplan, of Cedar Grove, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Mountainside Hospital. She was 90 years old. Marilyn was born on April 8, 1925 in Bronx, NY. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Rosenblum and late Rose (Starr) Rosenblum. Marilyn was a sportswear buyer in NYC, NY. She is survived by her two daughters, Laurie Davidson and her husband Norman of Bloomfield and Jill Weiner of Marlton, NJ. Her three grandchildren, Brittany, Jennifer and Meredith and her great -grandchildren, Madison, Aubrey and Ben. She was predeceased by her husband Morton who passed away on November 6, 1965. There will be a Graveside Service held on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 11:30am at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge, NJ. Other NJ

Marilyn was the best friend I have had in my adult life. She was my rock and my inspiration. She was extremely generous and always made people feel loved and accepted. Knowing Marilyn made everyone's life better. My kids and I will always remember all her positive phrases. Without Marilyn I would not have had the courage to forge my career. She had the gift to make troubles appear transitory and insignificant. Marilyn always made people feel strong and capable. Above all, she always gave us hope for the best.
