Conchita Melencio

Conchita Melencio of Bloomfield, N.J., passed away on May 29, 2015. She was 89. Conchita was born in the Phillipines, and has lived in Bloomfield for the past 20 years. She loved gardening and knitting, and she was a member of the Two Hearts of Jesus prayer group for the churches in the Bloomfield area. She was predeceased by her husband Augusto Ceasar Melencio when living in the Phillipines, and her sister Manuela Villanueva. She is survived by her daughters Susan Melencio and husband Arthur Lombardi of Virginia and Theresa and her husband Gary Ilustrisimo of Bloomfield. She also has three grandchildren, Valerie O, Michelle Melencio and J Anthony Ilustrisimo as well as two great grandchildren Alexander O and Evan Ilustrisimo. Friends and family are asked to visit on Monday, June 1st from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Halpin - Bitecola Brookdale Funeral & Cremation Service, 1284 Broad Street Bloomfield, N.J. 07003. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 2nd at St. Thomas The Apostle at 60 Byrd Avenue, Bloomfield, N.J. followed by Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery at 340 Ridge Road North Arlington, N.J. 07031.
