Edmond Aiello

Edmond D. Aiello, of Bloomfield, passed away on Monday December 22, 2014. He was 86 years old. Ed was born in Newark, raised in Nutley, and moved to Bloomfield 43 years ago. Ed was a repair technician for General Electric and was very handy. His friends and neighbors gave him the nickname “Mayor of Irwin Place” for his friendships throughout the community. Edmond leaves behind a loving wife of 49 years, Patricia Aiello, and their two children Stacie Alonzo and David Aiello. Ed leaves behind a grandson Nicholas in which he enjoyed every moment they could spend together. Ed also leaves behind a sister Carol Vitale, a niece, and two nephews. Friends and family are asked to visit on Monday December 29th, from 7 to 9pm, at Halpin-Bitecola Brookdale Funeral and Cremation Service. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
