Betty Terrizzi

Betty (nee Petrilla) Terrizzi of Bloomfield passed away on Thursday October 2, 2014 at the age of 83. Visitation will be at Frank Halpin's Brookdale Funeral Home, 1284 Broad Street, Bloomfield on Sunday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. The funeral will be Monday at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home followed by the Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. in Saint John's Lutheran Church (Pastor David Rowold officiating), 216 Liberty Street, Bloomfield. Interment to follow at Forest Green Park Cemetery, 535 Texas Road, Morganville. Mrs. Terrizzi was born in Slovakia, settled in the United States in 1948 and had lived in Bloomfield the past 45 years. Betty was a saleswoman for Revlon in Sterns in New York City for several years prior to retirement. She was active with the youth group and ladies guild at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bloomfield. Betty was the devoted wife for 46 years to Paul A. Terrizzi; mother of Ilona Oosterwyk and Jennifer Terrizzi; and grandmother of Justin & Hailey Oosterwyk.
