Robert Frerichs

Robert F. Frerichs of Bloomfield passed away on Tuesday July 8, 2014 at the age of 86. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and had lived in Denville, NJ before moving to Bloomfield in 1965. Robert graduated from Polytechnic Institute in Brooklyn NY. He served in the National Guard Ordnance Brooklyn, NY. Robert was an Eastern Region Staff Manager with NECA of Whippany for 5years prior to his retirement 19 years ago. Before that he was with Bell Telephone in New York and New Jersey for over 30 years. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Visitation will be at Frank Halpin's Brookdale Funeral Home, 1284 Broad Street, Bloomfield Friday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. followed by a service given by Pastor Paul Anderson in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Interment Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield. Mr. Frerichs is the husband of Beryl (nee Scott) Frerichs; father of Brian Frerichs, Keith Frerichs, his wife Janet, and the late Roger Frerichs. Also survived by his sister Winifred Droge.
