Obituary
Frank R. Adams of Bloomfield passed away on Tuesday February 19, 2014 at the age of 88. Born in Jersey City he, had lived there and Kearny before moving to Bloomfield 55 years ago. Mr. Adams was an Auto Mechanic with Ed Uniss System Brake Service in Bloomfield for over 30 years prior to his retirement 20 years ago. He was a long time member of the Watchung Presbyterian Church, were he served on Session. He was also a Navy Veteran of WWII. Mr. Adams was predeceased by his wife Joan Ella (nee Wordfield) Adams; and sisters Ruth Fladerer and Mary Jane Fish. He is survived by a daughter Troy Ella Adams & her husband David Sherberg and a son Frank R. Adams, III & his wife Jody Adams; also 5 grandchildren, Kyle and Ryan Sherberg, Katie, Nicole & Trevor Adams. Visitation will be at Frank Halpin's Brookdale Funeral Home, 1284 Broad Street, Bloomfield on Saturday March 1st from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. A prayer service will be held during the evening visitation from 7 - 9 p.m.. Dear Troy and "Bob".You will always be Bob to me. So sorry to hear of both your Mom and Dad's passing. Harold and I always enjoyed their company. They will both be missed greatly.

Until I got older I didn't realize the friends I made growing up would be the best people I've ever met and there is no doubt it was becasue of our parents. Mr and Mrs Adams should be proud of the legacy they have left behind, their loving family. He, like so many of his generation, was the type of person we looked up to and hope now to be. RIP Mr Adams.
