Obituary
Louise H. (nee Duchek) Gradone of Bloomfield passed away on Monday December 2, 2013 at the age of 85. She was born in Newark and lived there before moving to Bloomfield in 1955. Louise graduated Arts High School in 1946 and was the class Salutatorian; she was also a member of the Bloomfield UNICO Woman's Auxiliary Mrs. Gradone was predeceased by her husband, Carmine Gradone; and a brother Rudy "Duke" Duchek. She is survived by her sons, Gary Gradone & his wife Leila and Chris Gradone & his wife Marianne; 5 grandchildren, Danielle, Nicholas, Joseph, Andrew and Matthew. Visitation at Frank Halpin's Brookdale Funeral Home, 1284 Broad St, Bloomfield on Wednesday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. The funeral Thursday at 8:00 am from funeral home followed by the Funeral Mass in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 60 Byrd Avenue, Bloomfield at 9:00 am. My memories of Aunt Louise is that she was one of the most elegant and graceful women that I know. I have very good memories of the great visits to her home and her ability to make you feel very special. Gary and Chris, our prayers and thoughts are with you.

Chris, Gary and family, so sorry for your loss. "Aunt Louise" as we called her will be greatly missed. She was the most caring and loving person that I had met. The kids started talking about how they would go down and visit with her and how she would always sit on the floor and play with them. Again Sorry for your loss.
