Betty (nee Giordano) Walsh of Bloomfield passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at the age of 78. She was born in Bloomfield and was a lifetime resident. Betty enjoyed nurturing her plants, was an excellent cook, and spending time with her family. Betty is the beloved wife of Allen F. Walsh; beloved mother of Debra Walsh, Stephen Walsh & his wife Roberta, Michael Walsh, Allen Walsh & his late wife Pamela, and Patrick Walsh & his wife Loretta; dear sister of Dolores Sabato and the late Gloria Zeremba; cherished grandmother of Stephen Walsh & his Fiance Zehra Kasan, Kelly, Samantha, Ryan, Megan, Alexandra and Julia Walsh and great-granddaughter Emily Walsh. Visitation will be at Frank Halpin's Brookdale Funeral Home, 1284 Broad Street, Bloomfield on Sunday from 4 - 8 pm. I was so lucky to have had Uncle Al and Aunt Betty as neighbors on Atlantic Way for most of my life. In that time, I feel like my family became part of theirs. Aunt Betty was one of the kindest and caring woman I have ever met. I used to love conviently popping into her house around dinner time, just to be invited to stay for one of her awesome meals. She will truly be missed. Sending prayers and love to Uncle Al and the entire Walsh clan.

I worked with Betty sister Dolores Sabato years ago in Dr. Rosmaita. Betty always had me over for lunch, and even invited me to her shore house. I was so sad to hear of her passing when I read it in the paper. My heart breaks for her family, Dolores list her partner in crime. They were so close. I am truly sorry for your loss. xxxoo

I am truly sorry that I never got a chance to meet Betty. I had always planned to visit Al and his wife who he always spoke glowingly of. My thoughts and prayers are with the Walsh family. Your friend from Korea.... Don
