James Malcolm

James C. Malcolm, Sr. passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the age of 93. Visitation will be at Frank Halpin's Brookdale Funeral Home, 1284 Broad St, Bloomfield, on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow in Glendale Cemetery, 28 Hoover Ave, Bloomfield. Born in Johannesburg, South Africa he had moved to Scotland, where he served as a Royal Engineer for the British Armed Forces. In 1947 he came to the United States, living in Bloomfield from 1958 to the present. James was a Carpenter for Local 1342 in Essex County over 40 years and still maintain his membership in the union. Mr. Malcolm was the husband of the late Isabel P. (nee Barr) Malcolm; father of Suzanne McCann, James C.
