Marlon D. Regis, 54, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 30, 2025 at RWJ Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston NJ. He was born on February 19, 1971 in Marabella, Trinidad to Darryl and Gloria Regis. He earned a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration degree from Medgar Evers College and worked as a Senior Production Manager in the advertising industry for IMA Global. He had a passion for soccer and his beloved Manchester United team, and loved to fete, travel and spend quality time with his loved ones.
Marlon was known for his infectious laugh, generous spirit, and unwavering dedication to his family. He took great pride in being a loving husband and father, always showing up with guidance, encouragement, and unconditional support. Whether celebrating life with music and laughter alongside his wife, coaching Jordan’s soccer teams, or cherishing quiet moments with his twin daughters—delighting in their laughter and milestones—Marlon embraced fatherhood with patience and tenderness. With his eldest daughter, Kendall, Marlon created countless cherished memories, supporting her at tennis matches to practicing father-daughter dances. With both Kendall and Jordan, he stood beside them with unwavering support as they pursued their passions through college and beyond. Marlon lived fully and intentionally, and his kindness, strength, and joyful presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Marlon is survived by his devoted wife of 12 years, Dara Regis; daughters Kendall Regis, Mylah Regis, and Nylah Regis; son Jordan Regis; mother Gloria Regis; sister Nickeisha Charles (Junior); brother Shaun Regis (Leela), a host of nieces and nephews, and many family and friends who adored him. He is predeceased by his father, Darryl Regis, and his grandparents Davis and Bactolina Regis.
Visitation will be held at Halpin – Bitecola Funeral Home, in Bloomfield, NJ, on Tuesday, January 13, 2025 from 10am-2pm, with services beginning at 12 noon. The service will be streamed live on the funeral home's website for those unable to join in person. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to support them during their time of transition at https://www.mealtrain.com/trains/zg4rkr.
The repast will be held at Brivado, 14 N. Center Street, Orange NJ 07050, beginning at 2:30pm.
