Edwin Rivera

On Saturday, February 14, 2026, Edwin Rivera passed away. While we are saddened Edwin faced many challenges in life, he had remarkable and heroic moments.  He saved his little sister from falling out of a three-story house window as a toddler. He saved a nephew from choking as a toddler. He protected his little brother from a bully.   Edwin always appreciated the innocence of childhood and enjoyed watching children play. He loved playing chess and card games, listening to music, muscle cars, bike riding and playing basketball.  Edwin was dedicated to every task he chose to do. He worked as a delivery driver, and was proud of his service in the National Guard.

We will miss Edwin dearly; his laughter, his smile and our moments together, but we know he is in a better place, and free of the struggles of a harsh life.  Until we see him again waiting for us with our mother and father at the Pearly Gates. 

Edwin is survived by his siblings three sisters and a brother, seven nephews and a niece. 

Friends and family may visit from 2pm-6pm, Sunday March 1st, 2026 at Halpin-Bitecola Funeral home.
