劉洛業劉師兄在慈濟新澤西成立支會早期便加入志工，因較年長師兄姊都暱稱他為劉老爹，是一位熱心的志工，早期不但參與慈善老人院、盲人院餐會服務，也常伴隨師兄姊到外州參加活動，志願當大家的司機，有他陪伴減輕長途開車勞累。於 2004年10 月1日授證慈誠後，對慈濟更是互持有加，不但協助影視組工作，也和林信平師兄負責會所所有電、及冷氣的維修。後期因年紀大睡眠少，常半夜三點起床驅車至會所巡看，他是一位很顧家的師兄。慈濟師兄很感恩他長期的護持。 Peter Liu       Brother Liu joined the Tzu Chi New Jersey Chapter early on when it was first established. Because he was older than most of the other volunteers, they affectionately called him "Old Daddy Liu". He was a very dedicated volunteer, and in the early days, he not only helped with charity services at nursing homes and blind centers, but also often accompanied fellow volunteers on trips to other states for events, volunteering as the driver to help ease the burden of long-distance driving.       After receiving his Tzu Chi Faith Corps (aka Tzu Cheng) certification on October 1, 2004, his commitment to Tzu Chi grew even stronger. He not only assisted the media team with their work, but also, alongside Brother Hsin-Ping Lin, took responsibility for the maintenance of all the electrical and air conditioning systems at the center. In his later years, due to his age and limited sleep, he would often wake up at 3 a.m. to drive to the Foundation and conduct inspections. He was a very caring and devoted brother. The Tzu Chi community is deeply grateful for his long-term support.

Peter was our neighbor for 35 years....he was the best! Always ready to lend a hand, bring us some of his delicious food...we depended on each other a lot through the years....our families were close, especially when the kids were young...we will never forget you Pete...may you rest in beautiful peace.Deb and Dave Lalli
