Obituary
Eva (Lucignano) Buonincontri, 90, of Randolph, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026, surrounded by her loving children.
Eva was born in Pozzuoli, Naples, Italy, where she spent her early years during the difficult days of World War II. Coming from a large and hardworking family, she helped sell fruit at the family’s stand.
In her twenties, Eva learned the art of sewing and became a skilled seamstress, working faithfully under the guidance of her mentor. In 1965, she married the love of her life, Antimo Buonincontri, her childhood sweetheart.
Together, they built a life rooted in love, family, and hard work. In 1967, Eva and Antimo immigrated to the United States, settling in Brooklyn, New York, where they owned a pizzeria and raised their three children. In 1989, the family moved to Randolph, New Jersey, where they continued their legacy as owners of Frank’s Pizza on Route 10 until 2001.
Eva was a woman of deep and enduring faith. Whether in Pozzuoli or Randolph, she remained devoted to her Catholic beliefs, attending church regularly and praying the rosary. After the passing of her beloved husband in 2003, she found strength and comfort in her prayers, especially through her devotion to Padre Pio.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Antimo Buonincontri; parents, Umberto Lucignano and Giuseppina De Falco, and her siblings, Rita, Nicola, Elenora, and Italia.
She is survived by her loving children Ernesto Buonincontri and wife Jacqueline Falcon Buonincontri, Francesca Trentacoste and her husband Luigi Trentacoste, and Guiseppina Graziano and her husband Brian Graziano; her cherished grandchildren Zoe, Antimo Buonincontri, Gia, Antimo Trentacoste, Sabrina, Chiara Luna, Luca Nero, and Gialla Rossa; and her siblings Maria and Orestina.
Eva’s faith sustained her throughout her life, and she now rests in the peace of the Lord, reunited with her beloved husband.
