Carol Golubinski
Obituary
With faith in God and gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Carol Anne Golubinski, who entered the arms of Jesus for eternal rest on May, 7, 2026 at the age of 87.
Born to Stanley Golubinski and Bernadetta Zinner Golubinski on February 11,1939. She spent her early childhood down the Jersey Shore with grandparents and a large family of cousins. It was there she romped in the sand and waves of the beaches. She spoke often of playing simple childhood games, making mud pies, and sharing humble summertime meals produced by rich New Jersey gardens. She cherished the simplicity of earlier days and deep connection to her grandparents. She carried those warm memories throughout her life. There was great joy in hearing her stories.
Carol’s teen years were the epitome of the 1950’s. She attended Cliffside Park High School in Cliffside, New Jersey. She played sports, went to dances, was a cheerleader and majorette. She remained close with her high school girlfriends throughout her entire life.
Through the decades, she adapted to a rapidly changing world while remaining grounded in raising her three children and working as an accomplished administrative assistant. She demonstrated exceptional organization skills and a keen eye for detail in her work. She was valued and endeared by coworkers throughout her career. Carol was well read, and very much in tune with world events in history.
Carol is survived by her younger brother, Thomas Golubinski, her children, Peter Monte Jr., Robyn Monte, Karolyn Monte and Steve Cappadona. She leaves behind her grandchildren and their spouses and partners; Peter James and Maya, Michelle and Forrest, Tory and Alyssa, Roman and Miranda, and Anthony and Bruna. Her great-grandchildren, Micco, Rayyan, Aurora, Camille, and Huntly will forever hear stories of her incredible legacy. She was a devoted aunt to her nieces and nephews, Diana-Lee, Billy and Phyllis, Billy, Jamie, Marion and Mark and Spencer.
Carol is predeceased by her parents, older brother and sister in law, William and Virginia Golubinski. She shared a unique bond with her brother throughout her life. He was her rock and confidant.
She was our solace, our beacon, our footing. She left an imprint on countless lives through her generosity, open heart, and home. All were welcome, and all came. Always a wonderful meal, gathering, party, and holiday filled with her special touch, warmth, and humor.
She will be remembered for steadfast faith, resilience, and strength during any life circumstance. She built a legacy of love. Her memory carries tradition, devotion, sacrifice, joy, and above all, love for our Savior, Jesus Christ. “Honor her for all that her hands have done.” Proverbs 31:31
A private ceremony will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 3:00 pm at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Morristown, NJ. The internment of ashes and Celebration of Life will occur in July 2026. In lieu of flowers, her children request you reach out to someone you love and give them a hug and kiss.
