Barbara Furnari

Barbara Joan Furnari, nee Klemz, age 94, of Concord, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 10, 2026.

Barbara was born on February 7, 1932, in Newark, New Jersey, and lived in Belleville. After moving to Bloomfield as a child, she became a lifelong Bloomfield resident, graduating from Bloomfield High School in 1948. A career at the Bloomfield Savings Bank, and later the Provident Savings Bank, followed graduation.

Always beautifully coiffed and dressed, Barbara enjoyed family get-togethers, planning vacations, and decorating her home. In retirement, she enjoyed traveling to Europe, playing cards with friends, Bible study, and of course, shopping. She will be especially remembered for her wonderful meals and thoughtful gifts.   

Barbara is survived by her son, Christopher Furnari (wife, Margaret), and daughter Joli Furnari (husband, Edgar Garcia); her five grandchildren, Nina Furnari Johnson (husband, Boudreaux), Joseph Furnari (wife, Alyssa), Garrett Furnari (wife, Melanie), and Emma Furnari Bagin (husband, Michael), and Soula Garcia; and nine great-grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph H. Furnari.
