As we lose our classmates, we are all put into very direct touch with our own mortality. It is an emotional event. I too did not know Ray well, and while the years and geography separated us, that time we spent in Regis forever joins us. I have utmost pride and respect for all that passed thru Regis. All, including Ray, were indelibly blessed. Telling, as Al Pirovits noted, the thought that another '71 classmate won’t be making our 50th, also came to mind. Ray may not be there, but as with all our other lost classmates, he will be in attendance, in our remembering conversations.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.AMDG

I don't remember if we ever had any homerooms or classes together, but we all shared the Regis bond. We'll remember you next Jug Night.See you, Ray.Deo et Patriae

I did not know him well, but all my classmates have my deepest respect and I am at a loss with each one that passes. I would have been very happy to have been able to see him at fiftieth anniversary and perhaps make contact that was otherwise lacking. MEA CULPA! I will say prayers and offer the following condolences:For those of you who were close to him, I am sure you benefited from his character whether intellectual or spiritual uplifting. It is something to which we all at Regis aspired, I'm sure you agree. REQUIESCAT IN PACE! God bless us all! Amen.
As a fellow classmate of Ray's at Regis H.S. I remember him as having a terrific wit, and an easy smile. While we were not close at Regis, he and I attended many reunions, and his companionship was always welcome. He offered opinions on just about any political topic, and he was generally very insightful. In this day and age, easy smiles are not so often seen. Ray was unique and well-loved.
Bob
