Peter Susling

Peter Susling, born February 7, 1948, peacefully passed away on January 23, 2026. He will be remembered for his enduring spirit and the quiet strength he brought to those around him.

Peter was predeceased by his loving parents, who instilled in him his values, work ethic, and his love of God, William and Bernice Susling.

Peter was a loving and caring person to all who knew him. His family was everything to him, and he loved them dearly.
His life journey touched many, leaving behind his cherished wife of 45 years Cathy Susling; daughter Valerie Susling; son David Susling; granddaughter, Elllie Guevarez; brother William Susling; sister, Arlene Susling; beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at Halpin - Bitecola Brookdale Funeral and Cremation Service, located at 1284 Broad Street, Bloomfield, New Jersey. The visitation will take place on January 27, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 in the afternoon.

A funeral service to honor Peter's life will be held on January 28, 2026, at 10:00 in the morning at the First Lutheran Church, 153 Park Street, Montclair, New Jersey. The service will conclude at 11:00 a.m.

Peter's memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
